To Sir, With Love is a new musical adaptation of E. R. Braithwaite’s classic story, adapted for the stage by Kris Lythgoewith music and lyrics by John Farrar and Kara DioGuardi. Directed by Sheldon Epps, whose credits include Broadway’s Blues in the Night and Play On!, the production brings together a celebrated creative team led by musical supervisor Joseph Joubert (The Color Purple, Caroline, or Change, Motown: The Musical, Violet).
At its heart is the legendary title song, written by Don Black and Mark London, the best-selling single of 1967 and a defining anthem of compassion and change. The story follows teacher Rick Braithwaite and his unruly class at a tough East London school in the 1960s, exploring prejudice, respect, and the transformative power of education and music.

They are joined by a talented ensemble of young performers from Italia Conti, including Jamie Molloy (Denham), Ben Salter (Buckley), Vivien Farkas-Haholt (Barbara Pegg), Sophia Oram (Tara Joseph), Thomas Stocks (Graham Potter), Toby Foetu-Foster (Titch Jackson), Matthew Navas (Sapiano), Isobelle Tolson (Pupil 1), Katie Mitton (Pupil 2), and Rosie Hernandez-Lawrence (Reserve Pupil).
To Sir, With Love celebrates courage, empathy, and hope — the moment when one teacher dares to believe his pupils can change, and they in turn teach him what it truly means to care.
